Bespoke boarding software
for professional kennels

Pettel designs boarding software built around how your kennel actually runs — bookings, customer records, payments, and reviews in one mobile-first tool, built exclusively for licensed Irish boarders.

EUR-native payments — direct payouts to your IBAN via Stripe
Mobile-first — run your kennel from your phone
Built in Ireland — VAT, IBAN and GDPR-friendly
Bespoke software built around how your kennel runs

If you've been managing bookings on paper, in a spreadsheet, or through Facebook DMs — Pettel is the upgrade built specifically for your kind of business.

Booking calendar

One view of every overnight stay, day care drop-off, and walk. Block dates, set capacity per service, and stop double-bookings before they happen.

Payments to your IBAN

Owners pay through Stripe at booking time; funds land in your business bank account once the stay completes. No invoicing, no chasing, no card surcharges.

Mobile-first

Run the kennel from your phone. Confirm bookings while you're feeding, send a check-in photo from the run, take a payment without going back to the desk.

Customer + pet records

Vaccination dates, behavioural notes, vet contacts, dietary needs — all on one card per pet. Repeat customers rebook in one tap.

License-on-file

Record your local-authority Animal Welfare licence number, expiry, and VAT details. Owners see your licensed-kennel badge at booking time — and you stand apart from the hobbyist sitters.

Reviews + reputation

Verified reviews from completed stays only. Reply publicly, build a rating that's tied to your business — not to a personal Facebook profile that disappears overnight.

From paper diary to working software in a day

Onboarding for pilot kennels — the first booking lands the same week.

1

Set up your kennel profile

Business name, licence number, opening hours, max capacity, services and rates. Takes about 15 minutes — we can do it on a call together.

2

Connect your Stripe account

Stripe Connect handles payouts to your business IBAN. Owners pay the booking total at confirmation; funds release to you when the stay completes.

3

Take bookings

Repeat customers book directly from your profile link. New owners find you through the licensed-kennel directory. Either way, the booking lands in your calendar.

4

Run the stay

Confirm or decline from your phone. Send check-in updates with photos. Mark the booking complete and the payout releases automatically.

Software designed around your workflow

Most Irish kennels manage bookings on paper, in a spreadsheet, or through a desktop tool that hasn't been updated in years. Pettel is bespoke boarding software designed to replace all of it with one mobile-first product.

  • One calendar, one source of truth — no more double bookings or "did I write that down?"
  • Capacity rules per service — set max dogs for boarding, separate cap for day care
  • Block dates in one tap — vet appointments, family holidays, deep cleans
  • Repeat customers in one tap — vaccination dates, vet contact, behavioural notes saved
  • Cancellation policy you set — flexible, moderate, or strict — refunds applied automatically
  • Stripe payouts to your IBAN — no card surcharges, no PayPal fees, no chasing invoices
  • VAT-aware receipts — record your VAT number; receipts include it for the customer
A directory of licensed Irish kennels

Owners booking through Pettel see only kennels with a recorded local-authority licence. That's the trust story — and it's why owners pick a Pettel kennel over a sitter advertised on a Facebook group.

  • Licensed-kennel badge — displayed on your profile and in search results
  • Verified reviews only — left by owners who completed a paid stay through the platform
  • Multi-pet, multi-service bookings — two dogs and a cat for the same dates, one booking
  • Vaccination + medical notes attached — sent to you with every booking request
  • Direct messaging — before, during, and after the stay
What we're testing with the first kennels

Three things the pilot has to prove before this becomes a real product.

"That a licensed Irish kennel can replace their booking diary, payment-chasing, and customer notebook with one mobile tool — and run it from their phone in the kennel itself."

Operational fit
does the daily workflow actually work?

"That a flat €39/month is the right price for an Irish kennel — cheaper than the UK incumbents, painless to expense, and worth it for the time saved on admin alone."

Pricing fit
would you pay this without thinking?

"That the licensed-kennel-only directory is something pet owners actively prefer to a Facebook group or a Rover sitter — and that pilot kennels see real new bookings come through it."

Demand fit
does the directory drive bookings?

FAQ
About this project

Common questions from kennels evaluating the pilot.

Who is this for?
Licensed Irish boarding kennels and catteries — businesses with a local-authority Animal Welfare licence under the 2018 regulations. Pettel isn't a Rover-style hobbyist marketplace; it's the booking software your kennel needs, plus a directory pet owners trust because every listing is a real business.
How much does it cost?
€39 per month, billed monthly in EUR, VAT inclusive. No per-booking cut, no card surcharges, no setup fee. Pilot kennels get the first three months free and lock in founding pricing for life.
How are payouts handled?
Owners pay through Stripe at booking confirmation. Funds are held in escrow until the stay completes, then transferred directly to your business IBAN via Stripe Connect — usually next-day. Standard Stripe processing fees apply (1.4% + €0.25 for EEA cards).
What about my existing customers?
Send them your Pettel profile link — repeat customers book in one tap, no platform fee, no marketplace cut. Pettel adds new customers from the licensed-kennel directory; it doesn't take your existing ones.
Why Ireland-first?
Because the existing options are built for the US (Gingr) or the UK (Revelation Pets) and treat Ireland as an afterthought. Pettel is EUR-native, IBAN-native, GDPR-clean, supports Irish VAT, and is built around the licence numbers Irish local authorities actually issue.
How do I join the pilot?
Easiest: drop a line on LinkedIn with your kennel name and licence number. We'll get you set up on a 20-minute call and you'll have your profile live the same day.
Is the product fully built?
The backend, payments, and mobile app are functional and the booking flow works end-to-end. We're early — that's why it's a pilot — and pilot kennels get a direct line to the founder so the rough edges get smoothed around how you actually run.
